Music to Your Ears: Every Single Night

Today I am incredibly overjoyed to present some new Fiona for your listening and viewing pleasure. While some teenage girls my age scoffed at my love for Fiona it never deterred me from including her on many a mix CD. Remember those? Yeah, me too. She is, without question, one of my all time top five favorites. I love that she is who she is, weirdness and all, consistently. Haven't we all had enough of the shitty pop music of the past few years,? Basically what I'm trying to say is Fiona Forever, ya dig?

Donuts and Social Media

I don't like that many forms of social media, to be honest. I've never, ever used Facebook and don't really care if I do. I don't have Linkd N because I probably don't want to be linked. I do however like charts and donuts, so when I found this I thought it was pretty hilarious. My favorite is the explanation of Instagram. (Found via Charts.com)

A Personal Note on: Engagement

Somewhere between me drawing this heart on the beach and the sun setting over Hatteras island, R. got on one knee and asked me to marry him, to which I promptly said yes*.

 9 years, 5 apartments, 3 degrees (between us), 2 states, 1 ill-fated trip to see Henry Rollins, too many movies and shows to shake a stick at and now I'm going to marry the person I love most in the universe.

We haven't given much thought to what comes next aside from, you know, marriage and stuff, but this moment right here feels pretty good. Have a lovely weekend!

*Only after I laughed because I thought he was joking. If you know us in real life, we're much to cynical and wise-ass-y  to be "engaged at the beach" people". Life, you are a funny trickster.
